For jewelry designer Lenore Solmo, the search for sustainable materials didn't have to go much farther than her own recycling bin. ''It feels so wasteful to dispose of so many pages of inspiration, color and design each month. Solmo creates one of a kind statement necklaces, cocktail rings, earrings and bangles from last months fashion magazines.
''The art of the cutting and collage is quite calming, Solmo adds this is really “SLOW FASHION” I cut and glue, sometimes reading over an article I missed.'' Solmo includes vintage beads and baubles collected from her globe trotting to help narrate the story of each individual piece.
